The video and audio were first taped on a High8 camcorder, then digitized into a DPS Perception card at video standard 29.97 frames/second. Every sixth frame was read into Adobe Photoshop, resized, and filtered with a "neon glow filter" effect. Images files were saved in JPEG format with page names and consecutive frame numbers as the file names. This made a series of Java compatible images ready to play at 5 frames/second. JPEG images were further compressed with U-lead Web Razor then uploaded. Audio files were converted from 16bit 44.1kHz WAV format to 8bit 8kHz G7.11 µ -law .au format with Sound Forge. Audio files were given names matching the image file names.
